MESSAGE FROM DISTRICT 202

Hello, District 202 Education Partners,

We hope you’re doing well.

Here is this week’s selection of D. 202 news and information:

This Week's Highlights

SPECIAL MESSAGES:

RETURNING TO SCHOOL THIS FALL

The Board is expected to vote on the proposal at its regular meeting on Monday, July 20, 2020.

STUDENT REGISTRATION

CENSUS 2020

  • There is still time to complete your 2020 Census, and it is more important than ever. The Census determines Will County’s share of federal funds. Please complete the 2020 Census. It’s easy to do!

Households should have received a letter with a personalized, 12-digit Census ID code.

Go to http://my2020census.gov, use that code to sign in, and you’re all set!

Census data help determine our legislative representation in Congress and our share of $675 billion in federal funding.

Remember, COUNT EVERYONE, BECAUSE EVERYONE COUNTS.

Thank you in advance for doing your part!

REGULAR INFORMATION

  • The Board of Education will meet in regular session on Monday, July 20, 2020. The Board will participate remotely in this meeting because of ongoing pandemic concerns and state health guidelines. Here is the agenda.

Community members can view the meeting online and submit public comments via email.

***PLEASE NOTE: we expect significant community interest in this meeting. If we exceed our Zoom meeting limit, viewers will be given the option to watch the meeting live on YouTube.

  • The Student Services Department, in conjunction with Hartgrove Counseling Center, recently hosted a "Virtual Parent Night" to share information with parents about childhood mental health, coping tools and parenting resources. Click here for videos in English and Spanish.

Full-time custodians work alongside temporary summer help to get the work done. Many of the individuals who work as summer custodians are current or former District 202 students.
