Crews with The Lombard Company install a metal pole to temporarily support a precast concrete panel wall of the gymnasium at the new Wallin Oaks Elementary School. The pole stabilizes the wall before steel reinforcement is permanently installed. District 202’s 18th elementary school is scheduled to open in August 2021.

MESSAGE FROM DISTRICT 202
50x4

Hello, District 202 Education Partners,

The Education Partners is arriving a day early because of some scheduling issues tomorrow.

Here is this week’s selection of D. 202 news and information:

District 202 Parents and Guardians, please check your email for an important, short survey about Remote Learning so far this fall.

This Week's Highlights

SPECIAL MESSAGES:

  • We created a “COVID-19 Dashboard” to share basic, essential information about the pandemic’s impact on District 202. We will update the numbers weekly.
  • We have updated delivery dates and times for the Curbside Meal Service for all students up to 18 years old.

2020 CENSUS

September 30th will be the last day to complete your 2020 Census!

Remember, the Census helps determine Will County’s share of federal funds (including those for schools.)

It is easy and quick:

Households should have received a letter with a personalized, 12-digit Census ID code earlier this spring.

Go to http://my2020census.gov, use that code to sign in, and you’re all set!

Census data help determine our legislative representation in Congress and our share of $675 billion in federal funding.

Remember, COUNT EVERYONE, BECAUSE EVERYONE COUNTS.

Thank you in advance for doing your part!

REGULAR INFORMATION

  • In his September 2020 community column, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lane Abrell says we absolutely will return to in-person learning, as soon as it is safe to do so.
  • District 202 is proud to once again support “National Hunger Month” in September 2020. We encourage our community to donate food and essentials to identified community locations.
