The District 202 Board of Education approved hiring Khuen at its regular meeting on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
Khuen most recently served as the Director of Maintenance and Planning for Lemont Park District since January 2022.
He previously served as the park district’s Assistant Manager of Maintenance and its Aquatics Director during his time there.
Khuen also owns an event management company.
Khuen said he is looking forward to working in the District where his children also attend school.
“I look forward to helping the district grow and evolve for many years to come,” he said.
“I am a huge fan of Plainfield and look forward to being a part of a great school district.”
Richard Engstrom, Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations said Khuen brings a variety of facilities experience to his role at District 202.
“Jason is a respected leader within the Lemont Park District who will help guide the district in the right direction,” said Engstrom.
“The district is excited to have such a well-rounded individual in this role.”
