Greetings Plainfield South Families,
The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy is a prestigious recognition for high school students who demonstrate advanced proficiency in English and one or more other foreign or world languages. Students who earn this distinction will have the Seal of Biliteracy noted on their high school transcript and diploma upon graduation.
Students can apply for the Seal of Biliteracy at any point during high school. Applications are open to all Plainfield District 202 high school students, including those who learn another language outside of school.
Please see this flyer for more information about the Seal of Biliteracy, qualifications for applicants, and the process for testing.
Sincerely,
Bill Bicker
Associate Principal for Curriculum and Instruction
