District 202 will share information about resources for promoting family well-being on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Heritage Grove Middle School, 12425 S. Van Dyke Road, Plainfield.
District 202's Plainfield Parent Community Network will present this free program, “Building a Brighter Tomorrow Together: Resources You Need to Know About for Promoting Your Family’s Mental, Emotional, and Physical Well-being."
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with a resource fair and the program will start at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
Attendees will learn about free or inexpensive not-for-profit organizations that partner with District 202 to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students, parents, and families.

Resources scheduled to appear include Bags of Hope, Elyssa’s Mission, Glenbard Parent Series, Heart Haven Outreach, Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club, Plainfield Lions Club, Referral GPS, Schoolhouse Counseling Center, and Thriveworks.
District 202 social workers, special education administrators, and counselors formed the PPCN in the fall of 2016 to support parents with common parenting needs. A committee comprising district administrators, principals, counselors, and community members oversees the PPCN.
Professional development credits (CEUs and CPDUs) will be available for all certified educators attending this program.
