The Virtual Backpack helps District 202 "go green" by allowing non-profit and approved community organizations to post information online instead of making and distributing thousands of paper copies and saving everyone involved a tremendous amount of time, cost, and work.
The following criteria will apply to materials submitted for posting/distribution
All flyers must be in PDF format and compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act. Flyers that do not meet those criteria will not be posted.
All flyers must comply with District 202 Board of Education Policy 8: 25. List of additional guidelines.
Organizations can bring 50 flyers and five (5) posters to each school for distribution in the main office. Flyers will not be distributed to individual students.
All activities or information should be educational in focus and support District 202 goals and mission. Activities that have a parent education focus will be considered if directly contributing to the educational needs of the students.
The following disclaimer MUST be included on each flyer: "The distribution of this information and materials through the school district does not imply District 202 endorsement."
The district will not approve anything that requires solicitation for local service organizations. The district will not participate in the collection of money or pledges.
An organization may be limited to one (1) request per month and a limited posting time of six (6) weeks per request.
Please allow 1-2 business days for the flyer to be posted.
Please contact District 202 Director of Community Relations Linda Taylor for more information at (815) 577-4085
